This article gives step by step instructions for importing any product.

If you try to import all of a products' components at one time, you will notice problems with the product such as selection lists that were imported but are not linked correctly to a variable. The below steps should eliminate all issues with product imports.

Since this import has the ability to override existing products, parts, variables, etc…, always make a backup of your database before importing any products into it.

1. Import: GL Accounts, Stations, Pricing Forms, Product Layouts, User Constants, User Defined Fields, and Pricing Plans
2. Import: Parts
3. Import: Selection Lists
4. Import: Products, Variables, and Modifiers
5. Import: Discount Tables and Lookup Tables
